# Slack

> Get scan notifications and remediation nudges in the right channels.

Connect Slack so the right team sees security work without living inside Gecko.
Configure it in **Settings** > **Slack**.

## Connect

<Steps>
  <Step title="Install the Gecko Slack app">
    Click **Connect** and approve the Slack app install for your workspace.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Route channels to repositories">
    Map one or more Slack channels to **All repositories** or to specific repos.
    Add as many routes as you need. For private channels, invite the bot with
    `/invite @Gecko Security`.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Filter the noise">
    Set a **minimum severity** (Critical, High, Medium, or Low) and choose whether
    to notify on [PR scans](/scanning/pr-checks) and
    [scheduled scans](/scanning/scheduled-scans).
  </Step>

<Tip>
  Route Critical and High findings to a focused security channel, and send
  lower-severity or scheduled-scan updates to a quieter channel.
